The Cake Root is the name that sisters Fiona Woodcock and Jane Slater have given to their unique bakery business. From their farmhouse kitchens in Glanton and Longframlington they are producing luxury cakes based on root vegetables. "Jane and I are passionate about our recipes as well as using high quality locally sourced produce" says Fiona. "We really enjoy experimenting with flavours and our customers tell us they love the natural sweetness of our cakes, which are made from honest, healthy ingredients derived from farm businesses across the North East."
